I always recommend keeping your professional headshots up to date, so that they reflect who you are in the present. A good time to update your headshots could be if you’ve started a new role or project, or updated your brand or personal style. That way your photos align with your brand and show your audience who you are.
I recently met up with Nina Goswami to help her with some new headshots.
About Nina
Nina works in the diversity and inclusion sector, developing and implementing inclusion policies and campaigns. She is passionate about creating cultural change and enhancing representation across different platforms and audiences.
Nina was the BBC’s Creative Diversity Lead and headed up 50:50 The Equality Project. The multi-award-winning initiative uses data monitoring to ensure media content better reflects society. It is the biggest ever collective action on increasing women’s representation in BBC content.
Nina also worked as a journalist. She was a reporter for national newspapers and The Lawyer magazine prior to working at the BBC, where her roles included TV News Editor.
The Brief
Nina publishes a monthly Newsletter entitled Nina’s Notes: A monthly round-up of LinkedIn inclusion-related musings and wanted some updated headshots that she could use for this. She wanted them to be professional but also warm, friendly and approachable, and reflective of her personality. Check out Nina’s Notes
We decided on some outdoor headshots in Canary Wharf with the river in the background.
Below are some of the final images.
